I just need more enquiries.

I hear it all the time. And yes, creating content and being more visible is part of that. But posting more without a plan doesn't fix what’s broken.

It’s just a quicker road to burnout.

If you're already…

  • Creating content

  • Showing up online

  • Hearing crickets

…then more of the same won't solve that.

So, what does change everything?

Creating a strategy that uncovers your BEST messaging, makes creating content easier and aligns your actions with your goals is what's going to get you those consistent enquiries.

In service-based businesses, you are the product. Clients aren't buying a pension or investment plan, they're buying YOU, your expertise, and your guidance.

A great strategy will capture your unique story, values, and business goals in your own words. This gives you a completely customised strategy document that reflects YOUR voice and YOUR specific market position.

We’re not about templates and one-size-fits-all over here at Snowden Marketing, and I’m guessing you aren’t either.

This isn’t about creating another document that will just gather digital dust. It’s architecting a complete marketing system that helps you articulate those intangible benefits, like the confidence, clarity and security you clients gain. When you know your audience and your values, getting enquiries becomes inevitable.

Take 5 minutes and try this simple exercise I do with all my clients:

The thinking, feeling, doing framework

Split your service into 3 stages:

✨Before they find you

✨Once they've made contact with you

✨After they've completed a service

For every stage, write down what they're thinking, feeling, and doing.

Congratulations! You’ve just unlocked your juiciest client insights and mapped out your customer journey.

Most people stop there - they do the exercise, feel good about the insights, then... nothing changes which means you're leaving client enquiries on the table.

But here's where the real magic happens

You take those insights and use them strategically to create content that attracts, converts, and retains your ideal clients.

Stage 1: Before they find you

Your potential clients are:

Thinking: "I know I should sort my finances, but I really hate dealing with money" and "Everyone else seems to have it figured out."

Feeling: Shame about their financial situation, worried about digging into the numbers and isolated because we don't talk about money.

Doing: Procrastinating on financial planning, avoiding the conversation, pretending they have it all under control and generally sticking their head in the sand.

Your marketing needs to address: The shame and avoidance around money conversations. Give people permission to not have it all figured out and trust someone with their big money decisions - whether that's financial planning, buying a house or sorting their business books.

Stage 2: Once they make contact (Initial consultation)

People reaching out to you are:

Thinking: "How much will this cost?" and "I need help with my pension" (expecting product-focused solutions).

Feeling: Uncertain or surprised about where the journey is taking them vs what they thought they needed.

Doing: Asking about costs upfront, coming with specific product queries, discovering it's about their entire life situation.

Your marketing needs to address: Myths around what financial planning is so prospects understand it’s not just about products - it's about understanding their life and goals and creating a personalised plan to help them get there.

Stage 3: After service completion (Happy clients)

People who've worked with you are:

Thinking: "I wish I'd done this years ago" and “I finally understand what's going on and I've got a plan."

Feeling: Relief, control, security and joy about their future (and their finances).

Doing: Following their personalised plan, engaging in regular reviews, referring others.

You marketing should leverage this by: Capturing testimonials about the "wish I'd done this sooner" feeling. Your clients' words are marketing GOLD! Create a simple system to capture these testimonials while the experience is fresh - through VouchedFor, Google, or social media reviews.

The bottom line:

Your expertise is your biggest asset. You can have all the frameworks in the world, but if you're still figuring this out piece by piece, you're leaving money on the table.

In my strategy sessions, we uncover your BEST messaging, which makes creating content easier and aligns your actions with your goals. And this is what's going to get you those consistent enquiries.

In service-based businesses, you are the product. Clients aren't buying a pension or investment plan, they're buying YOU, your expertise, and your guidance.

A great strategy will capture your unique story, values, and business goals in your own words so when you're showing up online, you're doing it authentically and your ideal clients can connect with you. In the Strategy Session, we create your customised strategy document, together, reflecting YOUR voice and YOUR specific market position in financial services.

The completed workbook becomes your personalised marketing blueprint and will continue to serve you long after our session is over.
